Tayto Park Halloween 2021 attractions revealed with two spooky new adventures for kids and adults

Tayto Park has unveiled two spooky events just in time to scare you this Halloween.

The Irish Theme Park, located in Ashbourne Co Meath, will have two attractions – Tricky Trail for kids and Tayto Park After Dark for teens and adults.

Tricky Trail will operate during the day when parents and children will participate in a scavenger hunt.

Meanwhile, Tayto Park After Dark will run after sunset.

This is the first time since the pandemic that Tayto Park has been able to open for Halloween – so they’re definitely set to give you a spooky night.

To manage safe numbers and ensure social distancing, all tickets must be pre-booked here.

Tricky trail at Tayto Park

The new “Tricky Trail at Tayto Park” Halloween children’s attraction will open on Saturday, October 23, with lots of spooky fun for the whole family.

This is the ultimate Halloween scavenger hunt for kids, the new 45 minute experience will be filled with spooky stories, spellcasting, magical performance and fun.

Upon arrival, you need to collect your Tricky Trail map and help find any lost items, which will lead you to your very own Halloween candy or treat bag. But you’ve got to be ready for some spooky entertainment and age-appropriate games along the way.

Then you need to enter the Haunted Halls and see if you’re brave enough to sit at the ‘Scare Chair’ for a spooky family photo op before the trailhead begins.

Set out with your own Tricky Trail treasure map to uncover lost items along the Halloween trail, visit the Scarecrow Barn and Vampire Castle before entering the Strange Forest and Witches Layer for entertainment frightening.

Continue the Halloween adventure through the Hay Bales Maze and Wandering walkthrough, before gathering around the Hatter’s Hut to tell stories and uncover the mystery. Collect all the lost items along the way, finish at the Tricky Trail Treat Tent in Tayto Park and collect the ultimate bag of treats.

When finished, discover the Tayto Park Zoo and enjoy all of the other theme park attractions for the ultimate family day out.

This event will take place from October 23 to 31 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Pre-booking is required and the event is included with entry tickets.

Tayto Park after dark

Tayto Park After Dark returns from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. as part of a special nighttime entry.

Guests can take a ride on seven thrilling attractions, including Europe’s largest inverted wooden roller coaster, the Cu Chulainn Coaster.

Those looking for a dose of adrenaline can soar into the night sky on the Endeavor, Power Surge, Air Race, Rotator, Flight School or Windstar attractions. Those who are hungry can enjoy the Tayto Argentinian Grill which serves food from 7pm.

Tayto Park After Dark includes only open attractions, no spooky attractions and it will take place on October 23 and 30 only.

Tickets for the general public will cost € 15 per person and members must pay € 10 per ticket. It is recommended to measure more than 1.2m for attractions.
